I would like to drive up. I have my own car. I could drive up and would like someone to drive back as I have a little trouble with night vision.

I would love to split gas/share company to Middletown from NY Tues pm or Wed anytime. I arrive in NY via LaGuardia on Tuesday around 2:00 pm and can take a bus/train into town to meet up.

I am planning to go up with a bus/public transportation from NYC... does anyone know if they are picking people up in Middleton as the taxi fare to monestary from middleton is almost $50! Is anyone else going up by bus? Please let me know - nasiaseria@earthlink.net

Hi. As Linda commented earlier, it appears that the easiest way to coordinate a ride is to call Rebel Taxi themselves. I just called Rebel Taxi at 662-832-7433 and gave my name, cell phone, and landing time to Rebel Taxi. They're adding me to a group near that time (around 9:30 am).

Good luck. Maybe we'll see each other at the retreat.

FYI to everyone planning to travel to Blue Cliff via public transportation: I spoke with the NJ Transit today, and the train from Penn Station, NY to Middletown, NY will not be running because of damage from Hurricane Irene. From NYC, the only option is the bus to Middleton from Port Authority. Just so you know!!

So if you are trying to get to Middleton via NYC, you can take a Bolt/Megabus, etc. from Boston, for example (where I'm coming from), or Amtrak, which all arrive in Penn Station, then take the subway to get to Port Authority, and then get the bus to Middleton, NY from there (which is about 2 hours)

You can look up the bus schedule to Middleton that leaves from Port Authority at:

I was considering, but I read that they were not allowing early arrivals. I have decided to leave the memphis airport area (I booked a hotel room nearby) at 9:40am on Wed. I went with Rebel Taxi, spoke to Peggy and she arranged for me to join two other ladies arriving at that time, she has my name in case you wanted to join us on the early Wednesday bus :)
